According to the latest study by Strategy Analytics, total tablet shipments worldwide reached 51.7 million units in quarter 2/2013, up 43% from 36.1 million the same period last year. In particular the number of Android tablets accounted for 67% of global, the iPad's market share dropped to 28% and Windows tablet is 4.5%.

Android is making steady progress through the products of Samsung, Amazon and Google's own Nexus. Although the actual cost of the equipment is decreasing pressure on the manufacturers, but they still fulfill their business.

Besides the growth of Android tablet, the iPad of Apple recorded a decline of 14% to 14.6 million units in quarter 2/2013. In the same quarter a year earlier Retina iPad was introduced and so far does not appear the new iPad, this may be the reason why Apple's tablet sales decrease. But instead, the researchers expect growth thanks to Apple's iPad Mini to the actual number is higher than 14.6 million units.

Strategy Analytics said Microsoft had delivered the 2.3 million tablets in quarter 2/2013, up from 200 thousand the previous year. Current Windows tablets accounted for 4.5% of global tablet market share. This growth is due to the price reduction devices Microsoft has helped stimulate consumer.
