When announcing the financial situation of the BlackBerry Q1/2014, the company's CEO, Thorsten Heins has revealed that it intends to release a device running BlackBerry 7 in the near future, and as such will probably as the BlackBerry 9720. Accordingly, based on the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, some developers have found some information regarding the new BB7 (they said it's called 9720) such as this is in line Curve smartphones, with physical QWERTY keyboard, running the latest OS 7.1, owns the screen resolution of 480 x 360. Although not yet know the other specs, but surely everyone knows that the BlackBerry 9720 will be directed to the emerging markets, with a moderate price.
- The name is 9720, of the Curve;
- Running the latest OS 7.1;
- Physical QWERTY keyboard - as the Curve series so maybe this will be the Qwerty keypad with separate keys;
- The screen resolution of 480 x 360;
- Supports WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, 3G connection.
Overall, pretty obvious stuff and no surprises there but that was pretty much expected. Personally, I find it hard to get excited about a BlackBerry 7 device when there is great stuff like the A-Series getting closer every day but there's no doubt about it, there is some folks out there who will scoop this one up no matter what. Now, we'll just have to wait and see where it ends up getting released. Some folks may find themselves importing the BlackBerry 9720 if they want it bad enough.
